What a great night was had by all.
We were surprised yet again by the support we received from the 80+ children and their parents who turned up for the Holyween Spooky Story Trail. An what costumes were on show as well...very scary!
So, popular was this event that we had to stagger the groups being taken down to Shaw Park, where they were met by the contaminated gateway, before proceeding through the smog to be confronted by the demonic Undertaker (actually it was Chris our Vice Chairman!) and then onwards to through the park meeting the spooky characters who were telling the story of the demise of poor Joe Shaw who fell to pieces on Halloween.
Then it was back to the car park by the Holywell Inn for hot-dogs, soup and for the adults a nice cold beer from our first, and very successful, 'Pop-up' pub.
First of all we are forever grateful to the A Level Drama Students from Brooksbank (Emily Locke, Meg Broadbent, Ellie Drinkwater, Michael Dickinson, Sarah Walton, Alice Lelliot and their Drama Teacher Kathryn Steward), they looked fantastic in their costumes, and from what we hear very scary!
We would would also like to thank Ian and Linda Whiteley for their hard work organising the event, Emma Smith, Callum Stead, Laura Hopkinson, Shannon Kirkham, Heather Whitehead, Iris Whitehead, and all the members of the committee who helped out on the evening.
